I'm a newlywed as of October 9, 2010 to my wonderful husband Jonathan! I am also currently a graduate student at UNCG doing my M.S in Chemistry. Specifically in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, yes I am a nerd and I love it. :)
God has given me this great passion and gift for learning chemistry and when I am done I want to use it for His glory- whether it may be in teaching or working in pharmaceutical research in the development of new epilepsy drugs.
Some of the great blessings in my life are:
1. First, my husband Jonathan whom is my best friend, my hero, my inspiration and my other half. I knew after a month of dating him (he knew the same of me) that he was the one I had been praying for since I was in middle school. I thank God everyday for bringing him into my life. Jonathan is a true blessing for me and just a glimpse of the amazing wonders of the wonderful loving God that I serve.
2. My love for coffee. I drink it all the time, black and dark roasted every morning is the way I like it. My french press, automatic coffee pot and espresso machine are very special to me.
3. I love baking and cooking-especially healthy cooking with lots of fruits and vegetables- to me being in the kitchen is like being in the chemistry lab but smells better.....
It is edible chemistry.
It is also my creative outlet and stress relief. My favorite moment is when people smile after they bite into my desserts, I like to make them happy.
4. My crazy, loving large family who make me laugh all the time.
5. Jazz music- sweet beautiul music that speaks to my heart. Nat King Cole, Etta James, Billy Holiday, Miles Davis, Chis Botti, and Dave Koz are just a few that I don't go a day without playing.
It is in this blog that I enjoy writing about all of these beautiful, loving blessings the Lord has given me.
